We are Seaton Acapella

Seaton Acapella is a mixed adult choir of enthusiastic, friendly, fun, music-loving singers.

We sing everything from Pop to Folk, Lullaby to Gospel and all unaccompanied.

We follow the direction of our wonderful choir leader Ellie Walker.

We meet every Wednesday at The Methodist Church, Seaton, Devon EX12 2JN, 7-9pm.


Would you like to join us?

Seaton Acapella welcomes new members. There is no need to read music or audition, you just need to be able to listen, follow and join in with gusto. The most important criteria is to enjoy singing and have fun.

Payment is half-termly in advance at the rate of £4 per session, or £6.00 per session for a single session.

Meet our Choir Leader - Ellie Walker

Ellie Walker is a vocal coach and community musician. She has an ABRSM Diploma in Singing Performance as well as BA (hons) in Community Music from Sage Gateshead and studied music for 2 years at Bath Spa University. Most recently Ellie is now a qualified Vocal Health First Aider.

Ellie also holds QTS following a PGCE in Secondary Music from Exeter university (Schools direct at The Woodroffe School), as well as ABRSM Grade 6 piano, Grade 4 Jazz piano and Grade 5 musical theory. She has been teaching singing and music in the community for over 10 years in a variety of settings, from early years right through to the elderly and has a passion for teaching music not only for the academic benefits but also to improve mental and physical health and well being.

Ellie teaches a variety of styles and genres, though her main interests are musical theatre, folk, pop and jazz.
Her philosophy is that music should be for all and she tries to make music accessible to all regardless of ability or background.
